As you float up in the sky, the hues along the horizon begin to transform into beautiful shades of yellows and oranges. Depending on which direction you are facing, you will see the Arabian sun rising behind the Hajar mountains over the desert dunes. 4,000ft in the sky is one of the best places in the world to witness the beauty of the sunrise. Look out for Arabian oryx, gazelles or wandering camels in the sand dunes below.
Hot Air Balloon Pick Up
Get picked up for your Hot Air Balloon experience from Dubai (hotel or private residence) between 3 AM and 5 AM, by a dedicated Conservation Guide in a modern Land Rover Defender 130. Pick-up times vary according to sunrise, and your exact pickup time will be shared with you by the GoToDXB team the evening before your experience.
Take Off
On arrival the crew will be prepare the balloon envelopes & baskets while you watch the sky light up with a drone show. After a quick safety briefing, your Pilot will begin the thrilling process of inflation. You will climb into the basket & you’ll begin to peacefully float off the ground & ascend into the sky.
Hot Air Balloon Ride
4,000ft in the sky is one of the best places in the world to witness the beauty of the sunrise. Look out for Arabian oryx, gazelles or wandering camels in the sand dunes below. A storyteller will also be in the balloon to share tales of the desert with you. You will also fly alongside the worlds fastest animal as you witness an in flight falcon show.
Every balloon flight is approximately 1 hour long.
After landing
The balloons land somewhere different in the desert every day depending on the wind. On landing embark on a short drive to a Platinum Oasis camp. Indulge in a breakfast crafted by a Michelin-starred chef, inspired by the elements of air, earth, fire, and water.
Desert Camel Ride
Having explored the desert from the sky you will get the chance to experience the desert in the most original way. Enjoy a short camel ride in the desert at the Platinum Oasis camp, discover why these animals are so iconic to Dubai.
Gourmet Breakfast
Relax in the Platinum Oasis’s camps beautiful setting and enjoy a delicious 5* breakfast. Spiced duck breast with charred fruit compote, whipped goat cheese and herb soufflé pancakes, caviar and crab salad with citrus vinaigrette, cornbread with smoked beef bacon and maple glaze and more served to your table.
The whole experience from pick up to drop off in the shared Land Rover Defenders will last around 5hrs.

We care about your safety, so we only fly if the weather conditions are ideal. In case we have to cancel the flight due to bad weather, we will rebook your flight to another convenient day or you have the option for a full refund (depending on the T&Cs of your purchase)
Although ballooning is very safe, there are a few passengers who unfortunately won’t be able to join us:
- Ladies more than 3 months pregnant
- Children younger than 5 years old
- Anyone who has had major surgery in the last 6 months
- Anyone who has had a broken leg/arm in the last 6 months
- Anyone who suffers from chronic back or neck pain
Cancellation: Due to our activities’ extensive organization and limited capacity, a strict cancellation fee will be applicable to compensate for costs and lost revenue. Once a booking is made, the following cancellation fees will apply:
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before tour departure: eligible for full refund
- Cancellations made under 24 hours before tour departure: not eligible for refund
- No refunds can be made if you fail to join a tour, join it after departure, or leave it before its completion.
We strongly recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance to cover you in case of unforeseen circumstances preventing you from joining your scheduled tour. We will be more than happy to provide evidence to your insurance company if you cannot join us.
No refunds will be given in the circumstances or in the event of any reasonable delay, curtailment or alteration of a trip resulting from any cause, including severe weather conditions or mechanical failure. Components of trips are weather-dependent, and the Company cannot be held liable if trip components are unavailable on the day of travel.
Tours require a minimum number of guests to operate. Minimum guest numbers differ between tours and are subject to change at any time. If a tour is cancelled due to minimum guest numbers not being reached, guests will be offered an alternate tour option or be provided with a full refund.
Although the Company has taken reasonable steps to provide our guests with a safe experience, certain risks are inherent in each activity and cannot be eliminated without destroying their unique character. These inherent risks can be the cause of loss of or damage to equipment, accidental injury, illness or, in extreme cases, permanent trauma or death. The Company disclaims responsibility for the activities its clients choose to participate in, and these clients accept full responsibility for risks identified herein and any inherent risks not specifically identified. Any participation in any activity is purely voluntary and is at the sole election of the participant despite and with full knowledge of the inherent risks. You agree to take all prudent measures concerning your safety while on tour, including, but not limited to, the proper use of safety devices (including seatbelts, harnesses and/or flotation devices) and obeying all oral or written warnings regarding health and safety. The Company is not liable for loss or damages caused by your failure to comply with safety instructions or warnings). All pickup and drop-off locations and times published are estimates only and are subject to change at short notice due to external factors such as road closures, traffic, adverse weather conditions and mechanical breakdown.
We emphasize fresh food wherever possible, and meals are nutritious and varied. We cater for vegetarians and gluten intolerances—please advise GoToDXB team at the time of booking.
The Company has the right to refuse to carry a guest whose behaviour is detrimental to the enjoyment of the group. By travelling with the Company, you agree to accept the authority of the Pilot/Guide and accept their decisions. Our staff are entitled to a safe working environment and our guests to a great experience. Any threats to safety, physical or verbal, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the trip. If a Pilot/Guide requires a guest to leave the tour, no refunds will be given, and that guest will be responsible for their own travel costs and arrangements from that point.
Due to the nature of this activity and the strict drone regulations in the UAE, drones are not permitted.
