A Memorable Sunset in the Dunes

The Sunset Experience is a peaceful and awe-inspiring way to enjoy the desert’s golden hour. Ideal for the late afternoon to early evening, it’s a fantastic option for families, particularly those with younger children.

To begin, your journey starts with a gentle drive through the reserve, where you can soak in the stunning desert scenery. Once you arrive at Sonara Camp Lounge, you’ll be welcomed with light appetisers and refreshing soft drinks. From there, the experience truly comes alive.

Between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM, watch as the sun slowly dips behind the dunes, transforming the sky with warm, breathtaking hues. In this moment, you’ll witness nature’s beauty unfold—a perfect ending to a day in the desert.

Activities That Engage All Ages

While taking in the views, enjoy a variety of engaging activities. These include sandboarding, volleyball, soft archery, and camel rides—all designed to create a fun and memorable evening for guests of all ages.

Arrive Like a Bedouin

For a truly authentic touch, you can choose to arrive by camel, much like the Bedouins once did. Moreover, this unique upgrade is available at an additional cost of AED 300 per person, with each camel shared between two guests.

Getting There

Located in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve Margham Gate Dubai – Al Ain Rd

To begin your experience, a self-drive to the gate can be arranged, you will be met at your reserved time. Alternatively, a private chauffeur service can be selected for added convenience and comfort at an additional cost.

You will be picked up directly from your home or hotel and driven to the gate by our driver. Furthermore, the driver will stay available throughout the evening and will drive you home after the experience ends.

After entering through the gate, enjoy a gentle desert drive to the camp, setting the tone for a memorable evening. Once you arrive, a range of engaging activities awaits you, including sand boarding, volleyball, soft archery, and much more to keep all ages entertained.

• For a more traditional experience, camel rides are available right at the camp.

Alcohol and shisha are also available for purchase at the camp, allowing you to unwind as the sun sets. Additionally, sunset photography can be arranged at an extra cost, provided a 48-hour advance notice is given.
