Camel Desert Safari

Want to explore the desert like a true Bedouin? Our camel safari is the most traditional way to travel through the majestic desert landscape.

Your 45 minute afternoon safari traces the steps of Bedouin travellers of yesteryear making it a truly unique experience.

Exploration complete, you’ll be treated to a sunset falcon show. Watch in awe as these powerful birds swoop down towards the desert sand, showcasing their hunting techniques. There’ll also be an opportunity to get a photo with a falcon and some fantastic shots in the dunes – cameras at the ready!

Next head to an authentic Bedouin camp, beautifully furnished with traditional carpet and cushions. You’ll feel like you’re stepping back into the 1950’s as you soak up the culture with activities such as henna painting, Arabic bread and coffee making, traditional performances and top shisha.

There will be another opportunity to ride a camel at camp, before an authentic four-course Arabic dinner. You can also enjoy shisha whilst listening to the rhythmic beats of traditional drumming and Yola performances.

Enhance your experience further by adding on an overnight stay in the desert. You’ll sleep in a traditional Arabic stone room with a comfortable bed and enjoy a delicious breakfast the next morning.

If you want to make the most of your time in the desert, there’s also the option to add on a sunrise hot air balloon flight.

Experience Highlights

• Pick-up from Dubai hotels between 02:00 PM and 04:30 PM
• Arrive at the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve and receive a headscarf and a stainless steel water bottle.
• Embark on a 60-minute nature safari
• Marvel at a spectacular sunset falcon show
• Arrive at an authentic torch-lit Bedouin Camp and enjoy coffee and dates.
• Enjoy live breadmaking, coffeemaking, camel rides and shisha.
• Indulge in a four-course traditional dinner
• Watch Emirati performances like drumming and Yola
• Return to the hotel between 09:30 PM and 11:30 PM. Your total experience will last approximately seven hours.
• Extend your desert experience by staying overnight in a traditional Arabic stone dwelling room. Awake to a gourmet breakfast.
• Enhance the experience even more with a spectacular sunrise hot air balloon flight the next morning. After the flight, you will return to the camp to enjoy a delicious breakfast before returning to the city.
